How plants grow

How plants grow

Plants are everywhere around us, but how do plants grow and what makes plants grow? There are many things plants need to grow such as water, nutrients, air, light, temperature, space, and lots of time.

Plants grow from seeds because the seeds contain an embryonic plant and stored food. Once the seed is planted the seed will get the signal to start to grow first the roots will pop out of the shell then the plant will start to sprout once the plant has sprouted it can make its own food and it won't need the stored food in the seed.

There are at least 350,000 different kinds of plants, from the tiny ones you can’t see without a microscope to giant trees that make up forests and jungles. Plants grow under the sea on mountain tops and in the desert. Plants have even found ways to live where people can’t live.
Any plant that you can plant from a seed and flowers to make seeds in a few months is a fast grower. Herbs, veggies, outdoor plants, garden flowering plants are all fast growers. Usually, these plants are from temperate environments where the race to reproduce is on. Temperate plants must go from seed to seed in a few month's time, and if they don’t, winter frost will end their chances.

In conclusion, plants need four basic things to grow. Air, water, nutrients, and sunlight. During the process of photosynthesis, plants use carbon dioxide to make food and release oxygen, as a result, roots carry water and nutrients to the plant.

How liquid becomes gas

How liquid becomes gas

How does Liquid become a Gas?  That is a very good question how does it.
Most people say that for water when you heat it up it turns into steam.  Steam is a type of gas.

If you were to take water and break it up into almost the smallest things you could you'd get molecules. When molecules are stuck together in a rectangular shape it would be solid.  When you heat something up it makes the molecules move faster.  If you heat up a solid it melts and becomes a liquid then if you heat the liquid it would turn in to steam.

If you heat a liquid like water up even more then the molecules will move around so fast that they can’t even hold on to each other at all. When this happens all of the molecules go flying apart and become gas.

When rocks get really hot they turn into a liquid called magma or lava.  So if you superheat magma it will still be magma because magma is a really hot liquid so it would just heat it up even more. However, if you were too pour water on magma it would create steam and the steam would be the water evaporate.

I hope I have informed you on how liquid becomes gas if you have any questions on how liquid turns to gas google it cause this is all I can come up with.

What happens at athletics day.

What happens at athletics day.

Athletics day is a sports day for all different types of athletes to enjoy.  Usually, there are several different events happening at once. Running races, sprints, and hurdles. Long jump, high jump, shot put and discus.  These different types of events mean there’s something to suit everyone.

The results of racing events are decided by time or position in the race. High jumps, Long jump, and throws, such as the discus and shot put are won by the competitor that has the highest or furthest measurement.

The different types of events cater to different skills and strong points in each competitor. Whether it’s strength in throwing as in shot put, javelin, and discus.  Stamina, in the longer distance races, or the strength and skill of long jump and high jump.

The competitors with the best results get to go on and compete against students from other schools in the area, and then go on to bigger events if they do well.

In conclusion, Athletics day is mostly an individual sporting event, in which athletes compete to achieve their best scores. with the hopes of representing their school in further competitions.
